Katina Stamos H.O.P.E. Honoree 2024

Katina Stamos is a native of Campbell and a graduate of Youngstown State University.  She is a multifaceted professional with a wealth of experience across various ventures.  For the past 18 years, she has served as the dedicated office manager at Morris Painting, Inc a family-owned business, where she plays a pivotal role in ensuring smooth day to day operations.  Beyond these roles Katina is also a proud part-owner of Chic Chateau Children’s Boutique, a venture she shares with her two sisters.

Katina’s only daughter was life flighted to Akron Children’s Hospital on Christmas Eve 2012 at just one month old.  Driven by her gratitude for the care her daughter Maria received during a critical time in her life, she has become a staunch supporter of their toy drive donating over 150 toys each year.  Her daughter has a feeding tube and because she knew so little about it 11 years ago, she became an advocate and supporter for feeding tube awareness through the Oley Foundation.

She leverages her resources to collaborate with organizations such as the Boo Squad, Project MKC, DSAV, Animal Charities, Melina Michelle Edenfield Foundation, Second Harvest Food Bank, The Rescue Mission, Dylons House, Alex’s lemonade stand as well as countless local fundraisers helping the lives of local community members. She has made Chic Chateau a go to spot to collect Thanksgiving meals for local families in need for the Boo Squad every year since the program started.

Most recently she started a monthly soup kitchen in downtown Youngstown because the priest during his sermon was talking about how great the need was in the area for a soup kitchen and she wanted to help.

As a first-generation Greek American, Katina draws inspiration from her parents’ ethos of generosity and giving.  Rooted in her heritage, this spirit of philanthropy and community support runs deep in her veins, shaping her values and driving her actions.  Guided by the example set by her parents, she continues to pay it forward, embodying the timeless tradition of compassion and solidarity within her own endeavors and interactions.  With her diverse skill set and unwavering dedication, Katina continues to make a positive impact both professionally and philanthropically in the community.
