(Youngstown, OH) – Youngstown’s Market Street Bridge & the Huntington Bank Community Alley along with the Premier Bank Tower will be illuminated with blue and orange lights Sunday night, May 15,  2022, in observance of the national

All for the Kids Day. This is a national day of recognition, which provides hope and support for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families.

Chronic and terminal illnesses impact the lives of tens of thousands of children daily in the United States. These conditions affect not only the everyday life and activities of a child but present challenges for parents, siblings, families, and friends. Children with chronic and terminal illnesses also require extensive therapies and medical care all of which can come at a great cost, to families financially and emotionally. All for the Kids Day provides hope and support for these kids and their families.

“In an effort to raise awareness I saw the need for assisting these families right in the Mahoning Valley,” Anthony Spano, Founder & Executive Director of The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley stated.

So Anthony joined with a national network of organizations, community leaders and legislators all sharing a mission to proclaim May 15 the National All for the Kids Day in March of 2016. In December 2016, then Governor John Kasich signed Ohio HB 580 into law, which included companion legislation offered by then Senate Minority Leader Joe Schiavoni, D-33, establishing the national All for the Kids Day for May 15.
