The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley is proud to recognize its 2017 H.O.P.E. Award for Lifetime Achievement recipient Raymond Marrow. The selection committee chose the Youngstown native to join the prestigious ranks of past recipients because of his commitment to the Valley by building two youth mentoring programs in the past decade. It is presented to an individual who is: Honorable. Outstanding. Philanthropic. Excellent in the community.
Academy4Athletes works with boys and girls, ages 3-17, on their wellness no matter their current fitness level. Men in Progress focuses on at-risk boys and teaches them to become well-respected men. Marrow builds self confidence in these kids and teens by offering the programs on nights and weekends, keeping them surrounded by a positive environment and encouraging trust in God. Marrow also combines fitness and faith with a Friday night program called Jam4Jesus where adults exercise and worship, bringing together both physical and spiritual health.
For all these accomplishments, Marrow is Honorable – Outstanding – Philanthropic – Excellent and represents the Hope Foundation’s mission of improving the quality of life for children in the Mahoning Valley. Please help us congratulate this year’s deserving recipient!
