Youngstown, OH) The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley is proud to announce the 2022 H.O.P.E. Honorees for this year’s Wine for Hope. Presented by Huntington Bank & GBS and in association with WKBN First News “Caring for Our Community” initiative, the 2022 H.O.P.E. Award for Lifetime Achievement will be announced at the 10th Anniversary of the Decade of Hope | Wine for Hope on Friday, April 29th at Waypoint 4180 in Canfield, Ohio. These individuals will be recognized for their efforts of donating their time and resources to improve the quality of life of children and families in our community.2022 Honorees:
- Dr. Ronald Dwinnells – ONE Health Ohio
- Michele Jones–Down Syndrome Association-Valley
- Margie Petrunia – Lakeview Local Schools
- Mary Anne Russo – Hubbard Public Library
- Betty Strawderman – Betty’s Angels
- Chaplain Daniel Tayman – Ohio Living
- Delphine Baldwin-Casey – Retired Youngstown Police Sergeant
- Brandon Perry – Founder and CEO of City Kids Care
- Holly Welch – Assistant Elementary Principal in Austintown Local Schools
- Amy Zell – LOSS Community Services & Whole Life Services
Past H.O.P.E. Award recipients include the late Henry Nemenz (local businessman & grocery store owner), Jack Gocala, Sr (retired Youngstown State University police chief), George Gabriel (Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities), Raymond Morrow (youth advocate), Kathy Cook (St. Joseph Warren Hospital-Mercy Health) & Mike Currington (Warren Police Officer).
