The Foundation is Looking to Grow the Board of Trustees
(Youngstown, OH) The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley is looking to grow its Board of Trustees in order to make a larger impact for our community. We are seeking leaders who are passionate about making an impact and giving back to the community.
The Foundation is governed by the dedicated members of our Board of Trustees, who are responsible for establishing the policies for grants or donations consistent with the stated purpose for which The Hope Foundation was established. The time commitment for board members varies and is approximately 2-5 hours per month depending on activities and committees. Board meetings are held 3-4 times a year schedule by the Board (unless a major conflict arises), with committees between those schedule meetings. Most board meetings are held from 5:30-7pm.
In addition to attending these meetings, we ask Board Members to (just to name a few):
- Helps to establish policies for the foundations
- Participates in resource development, including personal commitment and financial oversight
- Promotes a positive image for the foundation
- Stays informed about the program’s activities, policies, services and mission
- Engage in strategic planning
- Actively develop resources for the foundation

We are growing our Board of Trustees, as well as serving more individuals and families during these difficult times. All who are interested are encouraged to Apply Now. The due date for applications is Friday, August 13th at 5pm and the term would start October 2021.

The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley: Since 2007, our nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization has coordinated the efforts of volunteers, funding, sponsorship partners, and a dedicated board of trustees to raise more than tens of thousands of dollars to help area children who are battling chronic and terminal illnesses. We provide charitable and financial support to local families to help improve the lives of chronically/terminally ill children and their families with money raised from donations and our signature fundraisers.
