COVID-19: Hope Foundation Cancels all Upcoming Events

Hope foundation honorees

(Youngstown, OH) The coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to advance nationally and globally and The Hope Foundation’s number one priority is the health and safety of all our supporters, volunteers, and board members.  Due to the unknown length of this outbreak, we have decided to cancel our 10th Annual Wine for Hope event that was scheduled to take place on Friday, April 24, 2020.

This event is our main source for raising funds to help chronically and terminally ill children and their families. The event annually raises $20,000-$25,000 that helps to fund our programs that we offer. “We, unfortunately, need to take this action because there are currently too many unknowns with the coronavirus and it is always our priority to put safety first. When there is a clear path, we will exercise every resource we have to help our community’s children and their families,” stated Anthony Spano, founder and executive director of The Hope Foundation. “We would also like to thank all our honorees, sponsors and the many dedicated volunteers for everything they do to improve the quality of life of children and families in our community.” More information will be coming soon and you too can help support our programs by visiting www.Hopemv.org and click on Donate.

We will be reaching out to all ticket holders and sponsors to discuss refunds or donations in the coming months. If you would like to contact us, before that, please reach out to us via email with your contact information at info@hopemv.org.  We also look forward to seeing everyone at our next Wine for Hope event that will take place Friday, April 16, 2021.  Check back at our website for event updates. Also, the safety of our families is always a top priority. Due to the recent developments in the state of Ohio around the coronavirus, The Hope Foundation has also decided to cancel our national signature event, National All for the Kids Day on May 15th, as well as any event scheduled the week of 9th leading up to it. This includes any event nationally as well. We would still like to ask each of you to participate virtually with us. Please visit the How Can I Help section on the AllForKidsDay.org website to see how you can still get involved in the celebration today.

Lastly, The Hope Foundation thanks everyone for their continued support and we ask that everyone follow the orders and requests of the Ohio Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding COVID-19.
