Foundation Board Appoints Carocci to Three year term this Summer

Photo of AshYoungstown, Ohio-This past summer, the Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley approved and appoint Ashley Carocci, a local advocate to the Board of Trustees for a three year term through 2021, starting July 1.

Ashley has been a resident of Trumbull County my entire life and is a graduate of Niles McKinley, 2006. She received an Associate’s degree in Art & a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Kent State University. 

Ms. Carocci has been working for Mahoning County Board of DD the past 7 years, which she has held several positions, most recent being a Service and Support Administrator for individuals with disabilities ranging from 16years old to retirement age.  She currently holds a certification in CESP, Autism, Supported Employment, and several more involving working with these individuals. Ms. Carocci is part of a committee promoting and teaching self-advocacy to those who have disabilities, and will be assisting with holding several conferences. She volunteers for several different events that are being hosted to allow those with disabilities to be part of the committee, such as a garden club and yoga.

The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley: Since 2007, our nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization has coordinated the efforts of volunteers, funding, sponsorship partners, and a dedicated board of trustees to raise more than tens of thousands of dollars to help area children who are battling chronic and terminal illnesses. We provide charitable and financial support to local families to help of improve the lives of chronically/terminally ill children and their families with money raised from donations and our signature fundraisers.
