Foundation to hold its last High School Basketball Showcase Announce Line-up

Will benefit local terminally ill kids

November 8, 2017, Youngstown – The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley will present their sixth and final Hope Classic High School Basketball Showcase on Saturday, December 9 at the Struthers Field House.

Action begins at 3 p.m. with two boys and two girls games on tap.

The showcase will feature the host Struthers Wildcats and South Range Raiders’ boys and girls’ teams with the LaBrae and Malvern boys, and Brookfield and Howland girls also scheduled to take part.

All proceeds generated will benefit The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley.  Since it’s inception in 2012, the event has raised thousands of dollars for chronically/terminally ill children in the Mahoning Valley. 

The South Range and Brookfield girl’s will get the action started, with the complete schedule as follows:

                        * 3 p.m: South Range vs Brookfield (Girls)
                        * 4:30 p.m: Howland vs. Struthers (Girls)
                        * 6 p.m: LaBrae vs Struthers (Boys)
                        * 7:30 p.m: South Range vs Malvern (Boys)
                        (DOORS OPEN AT 2 P.M.)

Additional activities include and exhibition between the LaBrae and Struthers sixth-grade boys teams, who will play an exhibition during halftime of the LaBrae vs. Struthers boys game at 7:30 p.m.

Pre-sale tickets are on sale for $7 (General Admission) and can be obtained on-line at: HopeMV.org.  A ticket is good for all four games while ticket prices the day of the event are $7 for Adults and $4 for Children under 12 years of age.
