The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley is a non-profit
501 (c) (3) organization. Our mission is the furtherance of charitable and financial
support and volunteer services to and for chronically and/or terminally ill children
on a local and regional level. The Hope Foundation
of the Mahoning Valley is dedicated to the education, research, and charitable
centers across the Mahoning Valley providing grants and other services to terminally
ill children, and aim to support local charities who share in our common goal.
In the last six years, we have donated money to organizations that support our
mission and goals, such as Silver Lining Cancer Fund, Potential Development Program,
Inc, Project Linus, Easter Seals, & Youngstown Hearing and Speech, just to
name a few. The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley
was founded in 2007 to continue the tradition established by "The Game of
Hope Charity Classic" that began back in 2005. In addition to taking over
this event, the HFMV will host other events that will raise funds for chronically/terminally
ill children 365 days a year. Furthermore, to support our events, you can donate
anytime during the calendar year by going to our website. Over
the years, the Game of Hope Classic has turned into one of the fastest growing
charity events in the Mahoning Valley. The Game of Hope committee has done a great
job in promoting and showing that the Mahoning Valley does care about its chronically/terminally
children in many different ways. Since 2005, the Game
of Hope and the foundation have raised nearly $60,000 to charities, courtesy of
the charity basketball game ("The Game of Hope Charity Classic,") flag
football and softball charity events. The HFMV now hopes to continue the tradition
in future events across the valley. IT IS ALL FOR
THE KIDS! |
